The Foundation aims to build long-term relationships with each of its charitable partners and develop active engagement with the community.
The Ottomin Foundation broadly focuses its philanthropic endeavours on five key support categories:
Conservation of Wildlife:
The Ottomin Foundation has a deep commitment to conservation science believing in a shared future for wildlife and people. We support activities that span the fields of animal care, conservation, community education, and scientific research. We believe that all of us have a responsibility to protect the world’s precious wildlife, not just for us in our lifetimes, but for generations into the future.
Adolescent and Youth Support:
The transition from adolescence to adulthood is a critical window of opportunity and a prime stage of life to set a young person onto a pathway of prosperity. The Ottomin Foundation seeks to empower adolescence and young people to enable them to reach their full potential and thrive. Whether this be via supporting intervention programs, mental health initiatives, education or connectedness through sport, the Ottomin Foundation believes in the concept of a ‘fair go’ and ‘access for all’.
Women at Risk:
Every woman has the right to live in dignity and the Ottomin Foundation seeks to prioritise support for women who are responding to crisis or in their most challenging times. We support activities that help women to rebuild from vulnerable or abusive situations, isolation or addiction in a safe way so they can reclaim independence, heal and prosper.
Medical Wellbeing:
The Ottomin Foundation has a unique focus on medical wellbeing initiatives that are close to the heart of its founders. The Ottomin Foundation supports initiatives, research, and the health promotion of Type 1 diabetes.
Liberty and Cultural Freedom Advocacy:
The Ottomin Foundation supports independent research and policy solutions to advance the principles of free markets, individual liberty and cultural freedom. The Ottomin Foundation believes that freedom to explore, create, and innovate are what drives human progress, creating prosperous communities and healthy societies.
In addition to these five philanthropic support categories, from time to time, the Ottomin Foundation may support other areas of interest.
