The 2021 Impact100 Sydney North virtual grants event was a wonderful celebration of collective giving and provided over 100 members and friends the opportunity to tune in and learn more about four inspiring organisations, which transform and impact our Sydney community. This year, the Impact100 Sydney North chapter raised $160,000 in collective giving from individuals, business and private ancillary funds, including the Ottomin Foundation.
At the virtual event on 21 October 2021, the Impact100 members voted to award the primary grant of $100,000 to the Youth Insearch Foundation. Their support program empowers young people aged 14 to 20 to turn their disadvantages into advantages and the grant will fund the appointment of a social worker, allowing 50 additional young people to have one-on-one support, attend weekend workshops and weekly peer-support sessions with clinical supervision.
Grants of $20,000 were awarded to each of the three runners-up, which included Mary’s House, The Gender Centre and the Generous and the Grateful.
