The iconic Murray Rose Malabar Magic Ocean Swim was held on Sunday 16 February 2025 and marked another year of community, competition and fundraising for the Rainbow Club’s network of social swimming clubs for children with disabilities.
Over 1,300 competitors joined the open water events, which comprised 5km, 2.5km and 1km courses as well as the splash dash, with many Rainbow Club kids participating alongside aspiring athletes and enthusiasts alike. Whilst 2025 will be remembered by many for the strong southerly swell and chilly wind, the conditions near the beach and inside the bay were still beautiful and the determination and spirit of each swimmer was inspiring.
The Ottomin Foundation was again a proud Malabar Magic sponsor gifting $25,000 and enjoyed the opportunity to share in the magic of swimming and support children with disabilities.
