It was a momentous occasion on Friday 28 February 2025 when leading supporters, including the directors of the Ottomin Foundation, gathered at Taronga Zoo for the sod turning ceremony for the new Wildlife Veterinary Teaching hospital. This world-class facility is the final part of Taronga’s Wild Futures project which comprises three facilities including the already opened Dubbo wildlife hospital and the state-of-the-art Reptile and Amphibian Conservation Centre at Taronga Zoo Sydney.
The Wild Futures project is expected to cost over $80 million and the NSW Government has agreed to match-fund every dollar donated up to $40 million. The wildlife hospital is expected to open in 2027. The Ottomin Foundation has a long history of supporting environmental conservation programs and is thrilled to be contributing $1 million to this transformational project.
