The Ottomin Group is currently completing a restoration project in Millers Point, Sydney.
These are two heritage-listed terrace houses located in Millers Point that are of State significance and require various major stonework, woodwork and metalwork repairs to both the interior and exterior.
The terraces were originally built in the 1840’s and have undergone multiple phases of occupation from initial private ownership to compulsory government ownership, following the bubonic plaque in the early 1900’s, and then public housing until 2016.
Millers Point is one of the earliest areas of European settlement in Australia and a focus for maritime activities. The properties are a part of the Millers Point Conservation Area, an intact residential and maritime precinct. It contains residential buildings and civic spaces dating from the 1830’s, and is an important example of nineteenth century adaptation of the landscape and early Sydney lifestyles.
Restoration of these landmark properties is due for completion in 2024.
