In 2019, the Ottomin Foundation had the pleasure to be a part of the launch of the Sydney Zoo Foundation as an inaugural donor. The Sydney Zoo Foundation is committed to facilitating activities that involve improving wildlife preservation, environmental conservation, scientific research and community education.

The Sydney Zoo Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation established to facilitate activities that protect and enhance wildlife and the natural environment in association with Sydney Zoo. Richard Kovacs, the Ottomin Foundation Chairman, was the inaugural Chairman of the Sydney Zoo Foundation from 2019 to 2024.
